Physician 1675-1728. Fellow of the Royal Society , member of Parliament for Launceston . He was imprisoned for a while when suspected of favouring the exiled Stuarts, but on his release appointed physician to Frederick, Prince of Wales and later to Queen Caroline. He was published extensively.
