Extra | William Till (†8 April 1844), a well-known London coin dealer in the 1830's and a founding member of the Numismatic Society of London in 1836, traded from 17 Great Russell street. He struck a number of private tokens in his own name, the dies for many of which were engraved by W.J. Taylor. He was also responsible for the Slough series of token halfpence dated 1794-5. |
