Achtergrond | The mintmaster C. piso was the son of L. Piso Frugi. For his coins he used his father's type of coins. He married in 63 B.C. with Tullia (daughter of Cicero). Marcus Tullius Cicero (106-43) was a Roman politician and lawyer, who served as consul in the year 63 BC. He came from a wealthy municipal family of the Roman equestrian order, and is considered one of Rome's greatest orators and prose stylists. After the assassination of Julius Caesar he chose the side of Octavian and against Antonius. |
